zIPTV is a media player for Apple TV, iPhone and iPad. It has no accounts, no login and no server of ours between you and what you watch.
What stays on your device
Profiles, source details, playlists, custom channel names and icons, favourites, hidden categories, parental PINs, watch history and app settings are stored locally. If you turn on iCloud Sync, they are also written to your own private iCloud container, which is governed by your Apple Account. We have no access to that container and cannot read its contents.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your source URLs, provider credentials, viewing history or the content you watch. There are no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs and no tracking identifiers in the app. We do not build profiles of users and we do not sell or share data with anyone, because we hold none.
Connections your device makes
- Your provider. When you add a playlist, portal or guide URL, your device connects directly to those servers. They are operated by your provider, not by us, and their own privacy practices apply.
- The Movie Database (TMDB). To show posters, descriptions and cast for films and series, the app queries the TMDB API with the title it found in your playlist. No personal data is sent.
- OpenSubtitles. Only if you enter your own API key and request a subtitle search. The request carries the title and your key, nothing else.
- Apple. Subscription purchase, renewal and cancellation are handled entirely by the App Store. We never see your payment details.
Diagnostics
If you have opted in to sharing analytics with developers in your Apple device settings, Apple may pass us aggregated crash and performance reports. These are not linked to your identity and we cannot use them to identify you.
Children
zIPTV is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone. Parental controls in the app let an adult lock categories, channels or the entire app behind a PIN.
Your rights and your data
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing on our side to export, correct or erase. Deleting the app removes its local data from that device; turning off iCloud Sync and deleting the app's iCloud data removes the synced copy. If you have a question about any of this, write to support@ziptv.ch.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
